Since Mark grew up as "Property of the State of Florida", he was exposed to multiple cultures and ethnic groups as a youth. Detention Hall, or "DH" of Lee Co., was the most common place to call home due to the simple fact that people just don't come to Florida to raise other people's displaced children, so foster parents are nonexistent in the state. It did give him opportunities to experience other areas of the state when a spot would open up in a group home. Diversity can give a person an appreciation for the true feeling of being a single minority in a home of 8 other youths that are full of hate for you for no reason of your own. Mark gained a respect for order and conduct and always looked to the military as a sure way to gain these solid foundations. He kept his head up despite the adversity and focused on the light that grew brighter each year that high school approached. At the age of 15, he entered the 9th grade while living in a group home in Bointon, FL, full of hope. After graduating from only his 1st year of the USAF-ROTC Cadet training program, he had already earned Top Scores, accomplished an entry Sergeant w/E2 status & exemplary recommendations to be directed into Officer Pilot training after completing his basic training. It was then, at just 16, that he discovered the birth defect he had always brushed off as a constant discomfort was actually a severe enough case of Scoliosis to bar him from ever being admitted into active combat duty for any branch of the military. With that dream closed, he dove into his natural gift of creation & fabrication. Born & raised right here in Sunny SWFL, Mark has had a lifetime of experience working in this area of ever-growing Competitive Designed Custom Homes. In 1995, an auto accident left his L2–L4 vertebrae impaired and severely limited his ability to single-handedly fabricate items over 25 lbs. He transitioned into 3D CAD. That shift opened a new creative path: the constantly evolving world of digital design has kept him challenged, engaged, and continually rewarded. He combines unique hands‑on fabrication knowledge with advanced CAD skills to design practical, beautiful interiors that contain understandable, manufacturable components.
